Humber and Wolds Rural Action (trading as Humber & Wolds Rural Community Council) is seeking an temporary Participant Engagement Worker to support Action Towards Inclusion (ATI). ATI is a project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund.
Humber and Wolds Rural Action (HWRA) has an excellent reputation for delivering quality, innovative, responsive services to communities, organisations, partners, providers and commissioners across the East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire.
Our role is to support and strengthen communities and organisations, particularly but not exclusively, in rural areas through a range of services and projects. This includes: Action Towards Inclusion and Wheels to Work (employability), Healthy Homes and Bulk Oil Buying Cooperatives (Energy), Voluntary Car Service (transport), Men in Sheds (health and social care), Community Led Housing and Village Halls Advisory Service (community resilience). The successful candidate will:
- Actively promote the ESF/Big Lottery funded ATI programme in the East Riding of Yorkshire, in public places only, to organisations such as Job Centre’s, Food Banks and to individuals in order to raise awareness of and increase participation in the HWRA ATI programme
- Have effective problem-solving skills to support potential participants to provide appropriate evidence of eligibility prior to referral to ATI Key Worker
- Have experience of supporting people furthest from employment due to complex issues.
- Maintain accurate records, working closely with ATI key workers to ensure all aspects of funders requirements are met at all times.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual who has the skills, knowledge and ability to identify and engage appropriate ATI participants . You will have strong communication skills and accurate record keeping skills, and the ability to understand and adhere to strict funders monitoring requirements.
You will have skills that you can transfer from other sectors to undertake this role and have an understanding of the voluntary sector and its role
