Cycling and Walking
A copy of the Driffield Cycle Routes leaflets is available to download below. This innovative leaflet has been produced to promote cycling around the market town of Driffield - the Capital of the Wolds.
There are routes for all abilities, and the leaflet uses small photos and directional arrows to guide cyclists - ideal for those who have trouble reading conventional maps! Dutch, German and French translations are included and the leaflet has already sparked dozens of enquiries from cyclists throughout the UK. The National Byway has adopted one route as part of its heritage cycling route.
All the routes are easily accessible from Hutton Cranswick, Driffield or Nafferton rail stations. Most trains will carry cycles, but please be prepared to be flexible at peak times.
The leaflets are also available at Driffield Railway Station, Driffield Library and at the Tourist Information offices around the county.
Details on other routes available can be downloaded from the Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnershp web site.
