HWRCC to launch Community Building web site at the end of 2010! www.ruralcommunitybuildings.org.uk
The first Community Building web site able to advertise the facilities and activities now taking place at community buildings across the East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire will lauch at the end of 2010. Increasingly, Community Buildings across the region are being used for social events (weddings, christenings, private parties), access to services (mobile library, post office, health services), meetings for voluntary, public and private sector organisations, as well as providing a programme of activities. The launch of the site will help to maximise the opportunities available and increase awareness of the activities taking place locally. It is now evident that users of Community Buildings in the region require information at the touch of a button, instant and up to date, rather than purchasing information in a directory format that is cumbersome and soon out of date.
