Humber and Wolds Rural Action (HWRA) has an excellent reputation for delivering quality, innovative, responsive services to communities, organisations, partners, providers and commissioners across the East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire.

Our role is to support and strengthen communities and organisations, particularly but not exclusively, in rural areas, through a range of services and projects. This includes: Action Towards Inclusion and Wheels to Work (employability), Healthy Homes and Bulk Oil Buying Cooperatives (energy), Voluntary Car Service (transport), Men in Sheds (health and social care), Community Led Housing and Village Halls Advisory Service (community resilience). The successful candidate will:

 Deliver:

  • Work directly with staff, assisting them to deliver, monitor, evaluate and report upon project and service activity
  • Provide quality and effective staff support and supervision
  • Ensure project delivery is within allocated budgets
  • Work with the staff team, Chief Executive and Board of Trustees to deliver the strategic objectives within good governance standards

 Develop:

  • By working with staff, identify and create opportunities to develop skills, knowledge and experiences which will assist in the delivery of the organisational strategy
  • Identify and create opportunities to develop current and future projects and services within the organisational strategy
  • Work with, and develop, current and new relationships and partnerships at a local, regional and national level
  • Contribute to the ongoing sustainability, development and longevity of Humber and Wolds Rural Action
