"The resulting Community Led Plan forms a blueprint for use by Town/Parish Councils and other local bodies, as well as providing evidence for funding bids to enable the actions identified to be completed."
Yorkshire Wolds Way Easy Access Routes
11th February 2013
On the Yorkshire Wolds National Trail web site, you will find details on eight easy access routes across the Wolds Way.
Each of the routes has notes on how to follow the trail, with photographs thoughout, so that you can work out if the route is suitable for you - before you leave home!
None of the routes included contain steps or stiles. All of the routes shown are accessible for mobility scooters, but some do require a RADAR key to gain access through the kissing gates.
About the opportunity
As a volunteer surveyor, you will be positioned at locations around Flamborough Head and Filey Brigg throughout the busy tourist season. You will be recording any recreational activities you see, particularly noting whether the seabirds respond to human presence. You will be assigned 4 locations (which will need to be surveyed for one hour each) and we ask that volunteers commit at least one day a week to this project.
Are you passionate about protecting marine wildlife? Do you have a special interest in whales, dolphins, porpoises? Could you help us to learn more about Yorkshire’s cetacean populations by regularly carrying out surveys?
