Community Led Housing in East Yorkshire - support to start the process - (current project)

22nd August 2017

Community-led Housing projects are run by individual community groups determined to build the types of homes that local people need and want. These projects are aimed at solving local problems through local control.

Neighbourhood Development Plans support - (current project)

HWRA can now provide support to communities who wish to proceed with a Neighbourhood Plan. Support is available through the whole process, as we have now teamed up with a Planning Consultant who is also an External Examiner for Neighbourhood Plans. This will ensure that as well support and advice on Community Engagement, we can provide technical support on Planning issues.

Community Led Plans support - (current project)

A Community Led Plan, formerly known as a Parish Plan, is a step by step process for communities to develop a plan for the future, which takes into account the needs of all who live and work in the community. The Action Plan developed as part of the process, sets out a vision and how this will be achieved. Community Led Plans are suitable for any size of community, be that rural or urban and take on average 12 – 18th months to complete.

Community Review - (current project)

What is a Community Review? It is a one night community consultation event that will identify the prioritisies, the needs and aspirations and the actions that local residents would like to implement. Lengthy consultation processes are unsuitable for smaller communities, so Humber & Wolds RCC will provide a support package to enable these settlements to conduct this process and give the community a voice.
