A LINk (Local Involvement Network) is an association of local people, organisations and groups that want to make health and social care services better. Every Local Authority area in the country has appointed a host organisation to set up and support their local LINk. HWRCC won the contract to be the host organisation for the East Riding of Yorkshire Local Involvement Network (ERYLINk) in the autumn of 2008.
ERYLINk provides local people with a stronger voice and influence over decisions on health and social care services. It is an independent network of individuals, community and voluntary groups working together to look at health and social serices across the whole of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The job of ERYLINk is to find out what you like and dislike about local services, and to work with the people who plan and run them to help make improvements. This may involve talking directly to health and social care staff about a service that is not being offered or suggesting ways that an existing service could be made better.
Anyone who receives health and social care services in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Everyone's view are important!
Groups can also join - charities, voluntary and community organisations, faith groups, residents associations, youth councils, black and minority ethnic organisations, business federations, etc. Infact, anyone who wants to make sure that the needs of the local community are listened to.
The more people that get involved in ERYLINk, the stronger and more influencial the Network will become. Join today - membership is free
