APPEAL ON BEHALF OF THE LEAGUE OF FRIENDS AT SCUNTHORPE HOSPITAL - DONATIONS OF MAGAZINES.

The League of Friends at Scunthorpe Hospital is looking to ask for donations of used/unread  magazines suitable for all ages and on all topics for the Hospital.

They would be for the Voluntary Library Services to lend to inpatients, for out patients waiting to be seen in clinic, or day surgery patients and various other area's.

Covid19 likely to have a negative impact on the delivery of affordable rural housing

A fall in property prices as a consequence of Covid19 could reduce the number of affordable homes that get built in the countryside whilst larger, more inappropriate development could get the go-ahead warns charity, Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE).W We know that many rural communities are supportive of small-scale housing schemes that are sensitive to the look and feel of the local area and which create homes that are affordable to local residents. But the fallout from Covid19 could up-end the viability of such schemes.
