Village Halls provide a very importnat focal point for their village but in order for them to be successful they need a thriving management committee to ensure that the Hall provide a warm and welcoming environment that outside groups and individuals will want to use.
Humber & Wolds RCC has had a dedicated Village Halls Advisory Officer for all its 41 years. Carole Johnson, the present incumbent, is able to offer advice and support at the end of a telephone.
In East Yorkshire we have two Village Hall Networks, in Holderness and The rest of East Yorkshire. In addition there is the East Riding Association of Rural Community Buildings which although formed by HWRCC, is now stand alone organisation. To learn more about the above , please talk to Carole.
