Community Led Housing Workshop

2nd July 2020

A Virtual Workshop on aspects of Community Led Housing are held every other Thursday. The next is on 9th July at 7pm and last for approximately one hour. The subject to be discussed will look at Maintaining Harmony in Community Led Housing Groups was they move forward with their project. The workshop will include a webinar originally broadcast by Wrigleys Solicitor's in Leeds on the subject.

Covid19 likely to have a negative impact on the delivery of affordable rural housing

A fall in property prices as a consequence of Covid19 could reduce the number of affordable homes that get built in the countryside whilst larger, more inappropriate development could get the go-ahead warns charity, Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE).W We know that many rural communities are supportive of small-scale housing schemes that are sensitive to the look and feel of the local area and which create homes that are affordable to local residents. But the fallout from Covid19 could up-end the viability of such schemes.
