The Humber Playing Fields Association is a registered charity number 505466 established in 1975 to advise and assist in the provision of playing fields, playgrounds in the former Humberside.

Today, it serves the communities in the City of Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire.

Working with local Voluntary Groups, local Charities and County, Town and Parish Councils the Humber Playing Fields Association provides a comprehensive support service to its members, including:

WREN HPFA Awards grants scheme

 

 

These grants are available to support the development and refurbishment of:

  • Recreation and Playing Fields
  • Playgrounds
  • Skate Parks
  • Village Hall and Community Centre energy efficiency improvements

Grants up to £5000 can be awarded to eligible applicants who provide the above facilities.

In order to apply the project must be located within 10 miles of a Landfill Site operated by Waste Recycling Group Ltd. These are located near Bridlington, Market Weighton, Hessle and Leven in the East Riding and Winterton, and Immingham in Northern Lincolnshire. There are additional sites located in Gainsborough and Louth in Lincolnshire and also at Hatfield near Doncaster that also give geographical eligibility.

Community Impact, Company number 5697971, is the Trading Company owned by the Humber Playing Fields Association.

The company can provide additional services to those provided by the Charity including the following:

  • Playground Inspections
  • Independent Annual Inspections to meet insurance demands.
  • Post Installation inspections
  • Independent reporting to you after the contractors have finished the work.
  • Feasibility studies
  • Establishing whether your project is viable, what issues exist and what needs to be done.
  • Grant Monitoring
  • Independent evaluation of your projects in line with funders requirements.
  • Consultation
  • Finding out exactly what your community wants, needs and expects to support your application.
  • Project Management
  • Dealing with contractors and suppliers on your behalf.
  • Training Services
