Sue joined the Management Team as Project Delivery and Development Manager in June 2009 with direct responsibility for the Older Peoples Charter Monitoring Groups, which plays a key part in improving health and social care for older people in the region.

Sue hs recently taken on the role of liaison with Community Transport Operators Network.

Carole Foster - General Administrator and Support Worker for the Voluntary Car Service

Carole Foster has worked for the Voluntary Car Service for many years and proivdes the scheme with valuable support and insight into the requirements of her customers. The scheme enables residents of North Lincolnshire to access services they would otherwise be unable to attend due to lack of transport, both public and private.

Carole Johnson - Community Development Coordinator including Wheels to Work

Carole has previously worked on The New Horizons project which was funded through the Government Office of the Civil Society Transforming Local Infrastructure programme. The project aimed to improve access to high quality redeveloped support, training and volunteer brokerage, strengthen links between the sectors and promote corporate social responsibility activities with private and public sectors by securing longer term agreements to improve the sustainability of voluntary and community groups.  

Carole also works on the Social Prescribing Project in East Yorkshire. This programme works with local GP practices to identify and support patients who are suffering isolation and loneliness but which does not fit with a medical intervention. 

Carole continues to support rural communities in her role as a Community Development Co-ordinator and has also taken on the Coordination of the North East Lincs. Wheels to Work Scheme.

Peter Hirschfeld - Community Development Coordinator including the Bulk Oil Buying Schemes

Peter has worked for HWRCC since 2004 and promotes the concept of, and supports communities who are producing, a Neighbourhood Plan or completing a Community Review in the Humber area. Peter's work concentrates on community engagement, to record the view of residents on a range of topics.

Peter new role in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, is to promote the concept of Community Led Housing in the county and support groups taking this initiative forward. The scheme aims to provided affordable housing to rural settlements, with full involvement, in all parts of the process, by the community. The homes provided will be kept in perpetuity for local residents. 

Peter also gives Energy Efficiency advice to rural communities that do not have access to mains gas and helps to combat Fuel Poverty in these settlements.

Peter is the coordinator for East Yorkshire's YORSwitch Bulk Oil Buying Scheme and the North Lincs. Community Switch Bulk Oil Buying Scheme, both of which purchase heating oil in bulk for residents of the two counties, in order to reduce the cost of heating homes.

Peter is a keyworker on the ATI Project.

Fiona Chapman - Administrative Support Worker

Fiona has recently joined the team in June 2019 bringing her experience in Administrative roles within the Local Authority Schools and Education, Community Centres and Voluntary Services.

Fiona will be supporting HWRA by raising the profile using her marketing and communication experience within social media and the Humber and Wolds website.

Fiona also supports the project leaders by assisting with transport, the bulk Oil buying schemes and Trustee meetings.

FREE Suicide Prevention Training in Beverley

One in 15 people will attempt suicide at some point in their lives. Anyone can suffer from suicidal thoughts but every one of us can make a difference. FREE suicide prevention training workshops are being held in Beverley on Wednesday 11 March 2020 at Waffle 21, Colonial House, Swinemoor Lane, Beverley, HU17 0LS. Sessions will run 1.30pm-2.30pm and 3pm-4pm.
