Kate joined HWRA in 2022 as Digital Inclusion Manager encouraging organisations and individuals to Think Dig! With so many health, social care and other services being delivered online, it is vital such services are user-friendly. Kate brings a diverse range of people together to consider barriers to digital inclusion such as a lack of connectivity/equipment/data, lack of digital skills/confidence and fears around the safety of going online. She also has a keen interest in how cultural changes could enhance the speed at which people become digitally included.
After leaving Cambridge University witth a law degree, Kate went on to use her skills in a variety of roles in charities both on the frontline and in infrastructure organisations. She has experience of encouraging cross-sector partnership working from her time with Citizen's Advice, NAVCA, and Clinks. Whilst parenting and caring for an elderly parent, Kate moved into the world of social media and influencing working on digital marketing products for charities and commercial brands as a consultant to BritMums.
After living in France for a few years, Kate returned to her home county of Yorkshire in 2020 determined to get back to making a difference.
