4th June 2013

The registered charity, Carers Federation, has been appointed to provide NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy (ICA) for the East Riding of Yorkshire.

East Riding of Yorkshire ICA, is a totally free and independent service which provides specialist guidance and support to people who have reason to complain about NHS services in the hope that people’s complaint issues can be resolved and NHS services are improved for all. People are offered a Self Help Information Pack if they would like to make a complaint themselves, or if they need more support a team of experienced Advocates is on hand to help.

Peter Robinson, ICA Advocate for the region, said “We are delighted to be able to offer a local service to the people of East Yorkshire who may want to make a complaint about their NHS treatment. We can help with writing a letter, what to include, who to contact and how to progress the complaint generally”.

Carers Federation offer a wealth of experience and have been responsible for providing NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy across the North of England since 2006.
